Sustainability decision landscape

Project Summary

This project studies stakeholder involvement in sustainability decision making at the regional level.  The Knowledge Corridor (KC) region centers around the Connecticut River valley from Northampton, Massachusetts to Hartford, Connecticut.  With funding from several federal and state sources, decision makers in the KC are coordinating decisions about food, energy, transportation, zoning, and water management.  We are exploring several facets of decision making in the KC with the following objectives: (1) to develop a methodology to characterize the decision landscape, (2) to apply the methodology in the KC, (3) to summarize the results gathered, and (4) to synthesize the results into generalizable insights about the landscape of sustainability decision making at the regional level.
